The SSL Stereo Bus Compressor provides 5 rotaries – Threshold – Attack – Ratio – Release (with program dependent Auto Release) – Make Up Gain – a ’Comp In’ button which independently activates or bypasses the plug-in’s compressor at zero latency providing A/B comparison states – and a highly responsive Gain Reduction meter calibrated at 0 – 20dB at 4dB intervals.

The most common use for the Stereo Bus Compressor is on the Master fader where the superior quality of the plugin is renowned for seamlessly ‘glue-ing’ a mix together and providing level boost while clearly preserving the detail and precision of a track.  The SSL Stereo Bus Compressor can be used in a variety of mix scenarios, including:  Across a Group Bus for drum processing, as an instrument compressor (particularly Piano) where high amounts of gain reduction can be achieved without degrading the sound source. And, with the compressor’s Ratio set at 20:1, the Stereo Bus Compressor will function as a Limiter.
